Hi Leute!

Wollt mich nur nochma entschuldigen für mein plötzliches Verschwinden kurz vor dem Rennen!
Mein Weibchen ist mit ihrem Auto liegen geblieben und ich musste (mal wieder) ADAC spielen...
Der Zeitpunkt war natürlich sehr unpassend, da kurz vorm Rennen und alle Server voll, aber so spielt das leben...
Schade hatte mich richtig drauf gefreut! Sah im Quali ja auch schon super aus! Hatte eine Platzierung irgendwo auf 12 oder so, und das Feld war sehr gut gemischt!!! (Huch so viele ! solltens eigentlich nicht werden )

Ich hoffe so ein event wird nochmal wiederholt. Die Mischung machts...

hast echt was verpasst...

bin auf 11 oder so gestartet, und hatte mir nicht viel ausgerechnet, zumal ich noch vor der ersten kurve ausgehebelt wurde und auf den letzten platz zurückfiel...egal - dann eben aufholjagd! hab dann irgendwann geschnallt, daß ich vielleicht mit einem boxenstopp hinkomm (lange übersetzung). alles oder nichts, nach 38 runden in die box. das hats gebracht, die krönung war dann, daß leckmajor in der letzten runde mit leerem tank stehengeblieben ist (beileid), und ich seinen 2. Platz geerbt hab!

Mal kurz ne ganz andere Sache - kann es sein das das Video vom Rennen auf server 3 Defekt ist???in der mitte ca. hängt es fest?!

Damn, why is it always me?

Was driving on server 3. My pit stop was driven by AI and it missed to stop to the right spot twice. Tried then drive back and forth, left and right but couldn't get any board to make selections and was forced to retire the race.

Did any of you experience the same or were you all driving your pit stops by yourself? Had any problems with your pit stops?

Congratulations to all who finished and especially for podium finishers on both servers.

It was fun as long it lasted...

Hab mir, als einziger auf dem Server, eine extra schwere Karre ausgesucht, um es auszutesten. Wie zu erwarten war, wurden die Reifen zum größten Handicap. Und was ich eigentlich als besondere Würze bezeichnet hatte, nämlich das unterschiedliche Kurven- und Driftverhalten, wurde eher zum Ärgernis. Gewisse Siegertypen, eigentlich genau einer, können es nicht lassen, ohne jegliches Benehmen an unpassenden Stellen zu schubsen und zu drängeln, um allen am besten 25 und nicht nur ein paar Runden abzunehmen ...

Naja, was solls . Meine Beurteilung des Events ist daher eher gemischt: Verschiedene Fahrzeuge in einem Event finde ich gut, aber die Gewichtsklassen sollten zukünftig bessere Beachtung finden, denke ich. Nur anhand der Rundenzeiten im Sprint ist die Vergleichbarkeit der Fahrzeuge jedenfalls nicht gegeben.

what a pity! You should turn off the AI-controls, otherwise you will always have problems like that. You can find the solution in the "Main Menu - FAQ" section.

Hi Ufo and all the others,

is it really better to drive pit stop by yourself? I let on purpose the AI to take care of my pit stop just to be sure to take your own place in case there are many drivers coming to pits at same time. How can you then know which pit is yours?

Before yesterday AI had not missed any pit stop and I expected it to be "bullet proof". Could add-on tracks be more likely to this kind of weird behaviour?

Yesterday my pit was located near the pit line exit, 4th or something like that. By my opinion the AI was driving far too fast when coming to right place causing the car to toss when stopping.

I tested doing pit stops later at home racing offline against AI competitors on that same track using same car. Then my pit was located near the pit line entrance and AI did my pitstop without any problems slowing earliear to hit to the right spot. Tried that several times.

So is it better to drive pit stops by yourself than let the AI do that? I would like to hear pros/cons for both styles from you.

Hi Timo,

I see several problems with AI-control: Sometimes the pit lanes are not so perfect at the selfmade tracks (your problem yesterday, I think). Sometimes there is not enough room for all vehicles and AI-control drives you right into a competitor. And you can take no reaction on misbehaviour of other drivers, e.g. somebody is starting when you come in.

thanks for your clarifying answers! You pointed out things that I had't thought so much about.

But still, is there a way to see which one is your own pit in case of many cars coming to pits simultaneously?

Bin selber dann in Runde 16 Disqalifiziert worden,weiß der Geier warum

Tschuldigung an PEWI und Matty für die Rempler kurz nach dem Start, konnte selber leider nicht ausweichen.

@Lowrider ganz große Entschuldigung.
war glaub in Runde 14 oder 15 wo ich dich beim Überunden von der Strecke befördert hab, warst in der Schikane für mich zu langsam.
Sorry dafür.

Das mit verschiedenen Fahrzeugen find ich gar nicht schlecht, 2 oder 3 Fahrzeugklassen wären doch ausreichend.

abgesehen von den schwerfälligen Fahrzeugen, fand ich die Sache ganz gelungen. Der kleine Franzose war letztendlich die beste Wahl, allerdings konnte man auch mit dem 300Sl gut dazwischenfunken und den ein oder anderen ärgern.
Finde das Experiment "mixed Car-Event" ist nicht gescheitert (abgesehen von den auf verlorenen Posten stehenden Amis) und hoffe es hat bei dem ein oder anderen Anklang gefunden.

hab den Rempler nicht als dramatisch empfunden, es war ja dann doch noch ein gutes und faires Rennen.
