Hi umma gumma,
I give you some advice.
Options and settings:
* Set "Virtual mirror" on in options.
* Use Tab-key to see driver names and positions.
* Set function "Look back" preferably to some steering wheel button.
* Set function "Lights on/off" preferably to some steering wheel button.
When a car approaches you from behind use "Look back" in good time to see if it is a driver overlapping you or your direct opponent.
If it is overlapping you the safest way is to let him/her do it on some suitable straight. You keep your line, flash your lights to tell you have noticed him/her and just a little bit lift off the throttle to make it happen quicker.
If you are sure you can handle your car well you can do the same on curvy section but then step off from the ideal line to give way and be extremely cautious.
If you are unsure or in doubt just keep your line on curvy section. The driver overlapping you must do his/hers move in a safe way and wait for the proper moment. It can take some fractions of the second but better to wait for a proper moment than take a risk of ending his/hers race due to a totally unnecessary accident.
When there are also your direct opponents trying to take advantage behind the overlapping driver it makes things more difficult. You have every right to take your place when the overlapping driver has passed you but you must do that in a safe way. Best way to avoid this kind of situation is to lift off the throttle just enough to let the overlapping driver to pass you.
All this you learn only by practice.
I wish I was able to give you some handy advice to be used along common sense.
