Hi guys, just a quick question regarding the weight penalties in the Back to the 60s Cup:

I don't understand why I have more penalty than people who have won more races or have had better results, and are ahead of me in the championship standings. Is it something to do with the car choice? How exactly are the weight penalties calculated? I tried to find information but didn't see anything which explains the difference.

For the weight penalties of the Top 10 you have to look at the left/German side though, weight loss is correctly explained on both sides.

And with that I hope next 60s Cup losing weight is once again done based on position instead of laps, since the scoring is based on position and losing a lap doesn't necessarily mean losing a single point, but can make you be 40kg lighter next race (next to the difference in lap length making it easier to lose weight on shorter tracks like Barbagallo).

Thanks, Nilski! I had already looked through that file before, but couldn't quite understand how that works.

Now I get it, but it makes me wonder - are the cars getting increasingly heavier throughout the season, unless we get lapped or finish outside the top 10? Is it both or...

It seems a bit weird to me, having to intentionally get lapped just to lose weight for the next race. It makes outcome inconsistent, depending on how many people are actually racing on the servers for each race and how many finish. Is it a system that was used in real life?

I think this is my mistake. I didn't think about the fact that the races are much shorter than in the ETCC. And that the number of participants in the 60s Cup has also dropped massively.
So weight reduction after lap loss makes no sense at all. Then I'd rather change it now instead of dragging the nonsense along the whole season. We are not the FIA...

I will change it to this scheme: P15-20 = -25Kg P21-25 = -30Kg P26-30 = -35Kg From P31 = -40Kg

I will have the series and penalty weights recalculated this afternoon, and create a new Weight Penalty file.
