some great and close racing

so i rush down my food, tried to get on the server with 20 mins to go, but hadn't downloaded the cars, got on the track with 10 mins to go and it was a track i never seen before, so i picked a GH capri setup for donnington and went for it on a full fuel load, got 2 timed laps in, before the start of the race and even had time to fill my glass.

stayed out of trouble for the first ten laps then started pushing a bit, had some very close and great fun racing, even had a bit of sport with Mcmad, but once i got past him, he rammed me very hard, well i think it was him, does anyone have the replay as i don't record, this buggered my car but i still had a lot of fun and more close racing, but evertime i was about to lap McMad he/she would go all out of control and then his car would head back onto the track, this happened a lot but on lap 47 maybe he got me.

so i got well p1ssed off and left the server.

apart from that it was great fun, very clean and very fare racing.

apart from McMad unless he has a bloody good reason for driving like an arse.

I downloaded the VCR of the Capri race and I think what happened to you was a glitch in the program rather than the fault of any driver.

When I watched the VCR I looked at both you and McMad and I find you to be a very fair and courteous driver. McMad appeared to drive like a gentleman also. I feel that because of this glitch other drivers may also have experienced some weird goings on outside of there control.

The glitch starts at Time 34200:00 until 3737:00 approximately.

To download this for yourself do this:

Step 1.
On the 'Bude' page left hand side under the box headed 'Reporter' look for 'VCR Archive' then 'Gameserver #2' and goto the bottom of the page once it has loaded this may take a short time. Near the bottom of the page you will see the track name Kemora .VCR and look for the 46160kb one click on it and save it to your computer. Once downloaded you can close the page.

Step 2.
Locate this file on your computer and 'drop and drag into your GTL game files marked 'ReplayData'

Step 3. If you have GTL game running this file will show in the replays box straight away, you do not have to load GTL again. Now highlight the file which should be at the very bottom of the replay list and press play.

You can use the controls on the replay page and also the keys on your keypad.

cheers man i'll download it and i wouldn't want to milign another driver, but i was starting to get a bit paranoid, i did notice the cars vanished for a bit, but i just drove on taking conservative/conventional lines until to cars came back.

i was thinking of setting up one of those quick chat keys to say "NO CARS caution" or "NO Cars -Yellow Flag" not that i would see it as i have the chat turned off and i'm not sure if anyone else it would see it either.

did everyone vanish.

anyway it was a cracking race, even with the damage.

A little trick I found when cars vanish is to press the + & - on the keypad. You may have to do it more than once but it usually clears the problem.

Something I did notice on the Capri event was the build up to the start ...there are crazy weird happenings on the start line and it appears that all cars were not able to start.

I am very sorry for kicking you in kemora, but it was not wanted....bloody mistake by me: I let a friend drive for three rounds, then i left the race and kicked my friend of that place. I did not want him to ruin my reputation, but he did...i cant explain that, because he has a g25 at home and should have come clear with my momo, but he didnt.

I alwys try to go fair, watch the race from beginning and you will notice that its only in the last two or three rounds, that i (my friend) drove very badly.

Next time i ll let you pass or fight in a better way, i m still very sorry bout that all.

Hi McMad,

I watched the race after downloading the VCR of it.

I saw that you drove a very good clean gentleman's race.

Unfortunately there seemed to be a glitch in the program at the very start and some drivers did not even get to move.

Later in the race a glitch again so you cannot see what was happening at all. This was around the time that the problem for dirtyvfr was on about. Because of this glitch it is very possible that all or some drivers had problems even seeing other cars on track.

Dirtyvfr has said himself that he could not see any for a while, so it is again very possible that his car and yours were hitting each other without knowing.

The glitches have been reported to derDumeklemmer.

no problems man, i wouldn't have brought it up, as the first incident was a racing one.

with very close racing mistakes happen, as we were having a very clean close 3 way battle for a lot of laps and you/we/all showed a great deal of skill and restraint, once i got in front i didn't want to throw it away, so i might have been a bit cautious going into the tight left, and i can see from the replay that you tried to go up the inside of the other car, accidents happen.

it was just that you were driving so well earlier and so bad in the last laps, that i brought it up but seeing as you handed over control to someone else, not a good move.

so it's not a problem man and i enjoyed the racing and wouldn't mind racing bumper to bumper or door to door with you.
