Installing Addon Cars - Easy as ABC - woohoo
Addon's causing problems is a myth. They cause as many problems as any other kind of download if installed in the wrong place, even one little bit of misplaced information can give you lots of trouble. All of the problems that I have had with Addon's has been because of my own mistakes installing them so please read what I have to say and try and follow these instructions for an easy time.

Addon car installing is easy and they are just the same as any other GTL file and also HAVE to be in the correct folders. Always read any Read Me instructions first.

A.. Download the Add On Mod Pack of the car you want.

B.. Unzip the download.

C.. Usually the Add On car pack comes in a GameData folder all ready to just drop into your GTL folder and this will put the sound files and cars etc into there correct folders Just press yes to all to overwrite ...done!

Nothing hard to do, so simple and if you have problems just ask for some help!

INSTALLING by Hand
If you really have to put car files in by hand you MUST know where their final destination is and put it in their and nowhere else. Put it in the wrong folder and it won't work and it may crash your game (CTD)just as any other GTL file in the wrong place would do. Always read any Read Me instructions first. If you are unsure drop me a PM.

On each Wednesday or Saturday night we race only one type of Add On car per night so you have a long time to get the downloads that you need. Once they are downloaded you only need to keep them up to date with the odd new car released. Please don't leave downloading and installing until the last few hours before you need them online as if there are any problems asking for help while we are trying to race is just not fair and you could be refused any help then.

Making the best of Addon (modded) Cars.

Once you have some Addon cars downloaded you may want to try them on line with other like minded drivers. Unfortunately the Bude cannot run all of these types of cars as their administration of drivers records of times etc are affected by them unless they are integrated into the system properly which is very time consuming. However, the Wednesday Sloppy Fun Races and the Saturday Midnight Racersare a private online server sanctioned by the Altbierbude to run races for these types of cars for your enjoyment.

Because these cars can affect the Budes Admin I strongly suggest that you keep all of your Bude cars and Addon cars on separate GTL installations and this is so very simple to do. Always read any Read Me instructions first.

1...Temporarily rename your current GTL folder to GTL Bude.
2...Install GTL again. As long as your original GTL has been renamed it will not overwrite it.
3...Don’t forget to put the GTL 1.1 update an Track/Car cheat onto this new install.
4...Now rename this new GTL to GTL Mod or something like that and you can now put your Addon cars on it.
5...You can put the temporarily named GTL Bude folder back to the name of GTL … Done!
